Queer life -Aotearoa style - hits the screens on Maori Television’s gay, lesbian and transgendered programme TAKATAPUI. Broadcast with 50% Maori language content, each episode of TAKATAPUI is divided into a number of segments. The bright, fast mix of items bounces from one to the other with the help of the presenters. 'It's a lot of threads weaving together,' says Speir of the programme's structure.
