A yearly event which has become a much enjoyed part of the Auckland summer calendar. It appeals to a broad spectrum of the community and provides an opportunity to see a diverse range of gardens and to meet the garden owners.

A beauty pageant comprising entirely of drag queens each representing selected countries of the world. The 40 contestants are primarily chosen through auditions and asked to represent a country mutually decided between the event organiser and the applicant. The seven finalists are predetermined in advance due to the artistic requirements of act two. These finalists are kept confidential so as to create an element of surprise at the end of act one.

Celebrate 2008 Gay Ski Week NZ, the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest gay and lesbian alpine party, in QUEENStown! The festival, which runs from 29 August to 7 September, features on and off mountain activities for skiers and non skiers including après-ski parties, wine tour, dyke hike, group dinners, and the infamous WHITE OUT party.
